Thomson Tiger Families & Community Members 

We want to thank you for your patience, understanding and support as we continue to navigate these unknown events taking place around the COVID-19. History has a way of speaking for itself. The last time our World has experienced a pandemic such as this, was in 1918 with the Spanish Flu (H1N1). Times were a lot different during those times; food, money and medical care were a lot harder to come by. Thankfully, we have come a long way in over a Century!  Our country, as well as other Countries across the Globe, are taking this situation seriously and are making the necessary measures to ensure our exposures are minimal. This means that businesses of all sorts and schools are having to close their doors. All of our staff here at Thomson Elementary are well aware of the impacts that these closures have caused. We have worked tirelessly to ensure that even though our school doors must be physically closed to protect each one of you, our teachers, administration and support staff are open.

Remote Learning might seem a bit complicated because it is new. Just remember, we are all in this together; together we are learning from any kinks we may experience while on this unexpected journey. Every one of our Thomson Tiger students was provided with a Chromebook in order to be able to access the remote learning. As of now, our remote learning week will begin Tuesday, March 17th through Friday, March 20th. Students will be expected to login to SeeSaw at 9 a.m. each morning until 12 p.m. It is important to note that attendance will be taken each day according to District Policy. Our scheduled Spring Break will take place the week of Monday March, 23rd through Friday, March 27th. We will continue to update you all as we learn the 'next steps moving forward.

It has links to Community Resources, Grab & Go Meals, News from the Colorado Department of Public Health and any communication and or announcements sent directly by Thomson Elementary to our families!

2020-2021 THOMSON ELEMENTARY ENROLLMENT

Can you believe it is already time to start preparing for the next school year? These last 5 months have swished by with the rapid blink of an eye. Everyone here at Thomson Elementary wants to make sure that the transition for all of our students is as smooth as can be. Below you will find the important steps you will need to take in order to register your student(s) in school for the 2020-2021 school year. 

Step 1: Check emails for JeffcoConnect username. 

Step 2: Login to JeffcoConnect using your username and password. Make sure that all information for your student(s) and yourself is accurate; change anything that needs to be updated. Complete this step before you move on to step #3.  If you do not remember your password, please use the following link to reset your password instead of calling the main office:JeffcoConnect Password Reset 

Step 3: Login to EnrollJeffco ~  the new updates will allow you to easily maneuver through the program. Remember, this must be completed in order for your student to be officially registered with a Jeffco Public School. 

Thomson Elementary Bell Schedule 2019-2020:

7:15 - 7:35: Breakfast (We will be serving breakfast prior to the first bell in the cafetaria)

7:35 First Bell

7:45 Tardy Bell

      2:35      Dismissal Bell



~ Students cannot arrive at Thomson before 7:15am. If students arrive before 7:30am, they are expected to go to the Cafetaria. Otherwise, from 7:30am-7:35am, students should line up outside of their classroom doors (weather permitted of course)! 

UPCOMING EVENTS

FAMILY ALERT: ABSENCES

It is vital that you call your student(s) in each day they are absent. Just call 303-982-9972 and leave a message! If the student will be gone for more than 2 days, then please fill out a Pre-Arranged Absence form 3 days in advance, so you will not have to call daily. It is our job to ensure the safety of ALL of our students. When they should be in school, but do not show up and a parent does not call, the absence becomes unexcused.  Thomson’s secretary will then spend the next several hours calling all contacts to determine the safety of the student-a 3-second message is all it takes to prevent these worrisome headaches!
